Using Your Icon Passphrase

Pick your two secret icons when your teacher asks you to verify your name.

Some classes use icon passphrases when students join games or open classroom activities. Your passphrase is two secret icons that belong to your student profile. It helps Wittigo know that you are joining as yourself without asking you to create an account or remember a typed password.

What Your Passphrase Is

Your teacher gives you a passphrase card with your name and two icons. The order matters. If your card shows Star + Rocket, you choose Star first and Rocket second. Keep the card private, just like you would keep a password private.

Joining With a Passphrase

  1. Enter the game code your teacher shows on the classroom screen.
  2. Choose your name from the class list.
  3. When the icon grid appears, tap your first icon.
  4. The icon grid will appear again. Tap your second icon.
  5. If both icons are correct, you will enter the lobby or continue to the activity.

If Something Goes Wrong

  1. If you picked the wrong icon, try again carefully and check the order on your card.
  2. If you cannot remember your icons, ask your teacher to show your passphrase card.
  3. If the page says you have tried too many times, wait about one minute before trying again.
  4. If another student knows your icons, tell your teacher so they can generate a new passphrase.
