Parent Communication
Send messages to parents through the teacher-parent messaging system.
The Parent Communication system lets teachers send messages directly to parents through Wittigo. Parents receive notifications about their child's progress, upcoming activities, and teacher messages. This creates a direct line of communication between home and school without requiring parents to create accounts.
How It Works
- Teachers link students to parent email addresses in the Engagement section.
- Once linked, teachers can send messages to individual parents or broadcast to all parents in a classroom.
- Parents receive email notifications with a link to view the message and their child's progress.
- Parents can reply to messages, creating a two-way conversation thread.
- School admins can view message activity in the Admin Console analytics.
Privacy & Compliance
Parent email addresses are stored securely and only used for communication purposes. Messages are encrypted in transit. The system complies with COPPA and FERPA requirements — no student data is shared beyond what the teacher explicitly sends. Parents cannot see other students' information.
